Fall Inspo…

, , ,

I haven’t posted in a while and I figured October 1st was the perfect time to start up again considering my love for the month of October. October is my favorite month of the year, and not just because it’s my birthday month. I love the crisp fall weather, the beautiful foliage (yay New England), apple picking (mmm warm apple cider donuts), the official start of soup season, and of course, Halloween! Above is some inspiration for fall!

Yay, the long weekend is finally here! This weekend my boyfriend and I are planning day trip to Peaks Island in Portland, Maine for some sea glassing and sunshine and I cannot wait! I have been so swamped with work lately (the reason for the lack of posts) so it will be nice to get away, even if it is just a day trip. Lately, I have been really into stripes with pops of pink, which will be prefect for a casual weekend day trip. Do you have anything fun planned for the long weekend? Have an awesome Memorial Day weekend!

  1. Striped boyfriend shirtdress from the Gap.
  2. Stripe sweater from the Gap.
  3. Abstraction infinity scarf from Anthropologie.
  4. Needlework sandals from Anthropologie.
  5. Kate Spade purse.

❤ Crystal healing: Vesuvianite…

, , , , , , , , , ,

Delicate Vesuvianite is so beautiful, I love its natural soft green color with hints of purple.

Healing: Vesuvianite is useful for the manifestation of the heart’s desire. Helps one figure out their true path or calling in life. It aids one in finding the courage to make changes in jobs, relationships, habit patterns, thoughts and emotions in order to fully realize the heart’s yearnings. Brings enthusiasm back in life.

Chakras: Beneficial to all of the chakras, according to its color. Yellow-greenish Vesuvianite, helps to simulate the solar plexus (3rd) and heart (4th) chakras, helping one align personal will with the desire of the heart.

Placement: Place in personal or work environment or wear near the heart.

*All metaphysical properties are from The Book of Stones by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian.

Below are some green and purple pieces that are inspired by Vesuvianite.

Nicole Richie can do no wrong. Sexy but not too revealing, 1940’s inspired dress, and how great is that purple hair?!

Monochromatic pink look with a tasteful crop top and peekaboo leg, beautiful.

A 1950’s inspired corset bodice is always at the top of my list, especially when combined with an elegant train PLUS the black and white color scheme, it all just screams old hollywood glamour.

From a young age, I have taken any opportunity that came my way to dress up, be it a birthday party or a holiday. I think that is why I have such an obsession with red carpet events, I love seeing everyone dressed to the nines. The Met Gala has always been my favorite red carpet event, I love its extravagance, loads of couture, and the often artsy flair. Above are a few of my favorite looks of the night. Who was on the top of your best dressed list?

❤ Crystal healing: Hemimorphite…

, , , , , , ,

Hemimorphite has always been a favorite of mine, I have always been very attracted to it. I love its soft blue color and sparkly crystal appearance that resembles a bright blue sky or a tropical ocean.

Healing: It’s an extremely protective stone, especially against malicious thoughts and manipulation. Promotes self-development, encouraging one to take responsibility for one’s happiness. Promotes inner strength, optimism, honesty, and communication.

Chakras: Excellent for the throat (5th) chakra, helping one to find their voice, and speak their mind.

Placement: Place on the throat for chakra work or in personal/work environment.

*All metaphysical properties are from The Crystal Bible 2 by Judy Hall.

Below are some pieces I am currently coveting (especially the Tory Burch bag) that are inspired by the lovely Hemimorphite.

Nautical notes…

Audrey Hepburn Standing on Sailboat

As cliche as it sounds, Audrey Hepburn is my ultimate style icon. From the way she dressed to the way she carried herself, she was absolutely perfect. Since Sunday would have been Audrey’s 85th birthday, I found it only fitting that she was my inspiration for this week. I’m taking cues from her for my easy yet classic spring/summer style, by combining classic silhouettes with both parisian and nautical notes. Who is your style icon?

  1. Fitted boyfriend stripe shirt from the Gap.
  2. The Gap’s white denim shorts.
  3. Free People stone cluster ring.
  4. Nautical tie sandals from Victoria’s Secret.

❤ Crystal healing: Citrine…

Beautiful Citrine is a part of the Quartz family. The name Citrine comes from the French word “citron” meaning lemon. I always carry a piece of Citrine in my wallet to bring prosperity.

Healing: Citrine is a powerful healer and regenerator. It is extremely warming, energizing, and creative. It protects against negative energies. A stone of abundance, it helps manifest and attract wealth and prosperity, success, and all things good. Raises self-esteem and self-confidence, and removes destructive tendencies.

Chakras: Cleanses the chakras, especially the solar plexus (3rd), and the sacral (2nd) which contributes to creativity, healing, sexuality, intuition, intellect, personal power, ambition, and protection.

Placement: Carry Citrine in your wallet to promote prosperity. Place a piece in the wealth corner (farthest back left point from your front door or the door into an individual room) of your house or business.

❤ Crystal healing: Celestite…

, , , , , ,

photo_1 (1)

Celestite or “Celestine” is a beautiful blue (it can also come in yellow, red, or white) crystal commonly found in Madagascar. Its name, named after its blue color, comes from the Latin word meaning “heaven.” I love its delicate and loving energy, and of course its crystal clear sea blue color.

Healing: Celestite is a high vibration crystal that promotes infinite peace. Purifies the heart and attracts good fortune. It heals the aura, bringing balance and alignment. Maintains a harmonious atmosphere in times of stress because of the deep peace it holds. Imparts gentle strength and inner peace and aids in communication.

Chakras: Very beneficial for the throat chakra (5th), as it aids in expression and helps one speak their truth. Celestite also aids in balancing and aligning the third eye (6th) and crown chakra (7th). It has been called a “teacher for the New Age”, as is connects one with angelic realms and divine energies. It also jump-starts spiritual development and urges one towards enlightenment.

Placement: Place a large piece of Celestite in a room to heighten the room’s vibration. For throat chakra (5th) work, such as healing the throat or helping one to speak their mind, wear a piece on a necklace. Place on the third eye (6th) to open a connection to the universal energies.

Blue skies…

Chambray shirt: Target (similar here), Jersey maxi skirt: The Gap (similar here), Birkenstocks: American Eagle.

This weekend was absolutely beautiful, the perfect weather for spending the morning at the beach, an Easter egg hunt with the fam, and breaking out my very first pair of Birkenstocks! My boyfriend and I spent hours at the beach Saturday morning searching for sea glass and heart rocks, which has slowly become our newest obsession and one of my favorite ways to spend our weekend mornings (with coffee or chai lattes in hand of course). The comfy and casual combination of a chambray top, maxi skirt, and Birkenstocks proved to be the perfect spring beach outfit.
